1. Basic Policy
Multi Note & Memo(hereinafter referred to as “the App”) respects users’ privacy and appropriately handles personal information and data created within the App, including notes, images, videos, and audio.
In the App, Kaiya, Y.K. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) does not collect, view, or provide to third parties the contents of users’ notes, images, videos, audio, transcription content, or similar data.
2. Information Collected
At present, the App does not collect personal information that allows the Company to identify users.
The Company also does not collect the following information:
- Note text
- Folder names, tags, or memo contents
- Image, video, or audio files
- Audio transcription content
- Contents of backup data
- Location information
- Contacts
- Advertising identifiers
- Usage analytics data
However, if a user contacts the Company, the Company may review the user’s email address and inquiry details for the purpose of responding.
3. Storage of App Data
Data created in the App, such as notes, folders, images, videos, and audio, is primarily stored on the user’s device.
If the user uses the iCloud sync feature, applicable data will be stored in the user’s own iCloud account. Data stored in iCloud is managed through Apple’s system, and the Company does not directly view its contents.
4. iCloud Sync
If enabled by the user, the App may use iCloud to sync note information and media information across multiple devices.
iCloud sync is a feature intended to improve user convenience and does not fully guarantee backup of data. For important data, users are encouraged to create backups regularly by themselves.
Use of iCloud is subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy and iCloud terms of use.
5. Backup Feature
The App includes a feature for backing up notes and media.
Backup data is created on the user’s device or in a storage location selected by the user through the user’s own operation. The Company does not collect or view backup data.
Please note that some data included in backups, such as note information, may be encrypted, but media files such as images, videos, and audio may not be encrypted. If the backup contains highly confidential information, users should take appropriate measures themselves, such as setting a password for the backup file or storing it in an encrypted location.
6. Subscriptions
The App may use Apple App Store subscriptions to provide paid features.
Subscription purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and related processes are managed by Apple. The Company does not obtain users’ credit card information or payment information.
7. Third-Party Services
The App may use the YouTube embedded player to display and play YouTube links within the App.
When a YouTube video is displayed or played, a connection may be made to Google/YouTube, and information necessary for video playback, IP address, device information, cookies or similar technologies, viewing-related information, and other data may be processed by Google.
The handling of such information is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and YouTube’s Terms of Service.
8. Use of Permissions
The App may use the following permissions to provide its features.
Photo Library
Used when the user adds images or videos to notes.
Microphone
Used when the user records audio.
Speech Recognition
Used when the user uses the audio transcription feature.
Camera
May be used when the user takes photos or videos and adds them to notes.
These permissions are used only when the user uses the corresponding features. The Company does not collect the data obtained through these permissions.
9. Deletion of Data
Users can delete data created within the App, including notes, folders, images, videos, and audio.
When the App is uninstalled, app data stored on the device will be deleted. However, if iCloud sync is used, data may remain in iCloud. For deletion of data stored in iCloud, please check the deletion features within the App or Apple’s iCloud settings.
10. Children’s Privacy
The App does not intentionally collect personal information from children.
If a parent or guardian believes that a child’s personal information has been handled inappropriately, please contact the Company.
11. Security
The App strives to handle users’ data securely.
However, no storage method or communication method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should also take appropriate measures to back up and protect important data themselves.
12. Disclaimer
The App is a support tool for users to record and organize information such as notes, images, videos, and audio.
Users are responsible for managing data created and stored through use of the App. The Company will make reasonable efforts to improve issues such as data loss, corruption, sync problems, or restore failures caused by app defects, device failure, OS updates, iCloud sync status, communication environment, user error, or other unforeseen circumstances, but does not guarantee complete recovery or compensation for damages.
The iCloud sync feature is intended to make it easier to share data across multiple devices and does not guarantee complete storage or backup of data. Users should create regular backups themselves for important data.
The backup feature also does not guarantee complete restoration in all environments. Users are responsible for storing, managing, deleting, and externally sharing backup files.
For features such as audio transcription, video compression, and image processing, the Company does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or quality of processing results. Users must confirm important content themselves.
Except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence by the Company, the Company shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the App.
Even if the Company is held liable, the Company’s liability for damages shall be limited to the total amount of usage fees paid by the user to the Company during the past 12 months.
The Company shall not be liable for lost profits, indirect damages, or special damages.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be revised in response to added App features, specification changes, changes in laws and regulations, or other circumstances.
If there are important changes, the Company will notify users within the App or on the App Store.
